After enormous interest in many of the McGehee family's favorite recipes, I decided to dedicate a page of our family blog to just that: sharing the many meals that bring people together around our table. There is a brief table of contents, and then each individual post will contain a favorite and much requested recipe. They are in no particular order, so you can streamline your search by pressing *Control* and *F* simultaneously and then entering the name or subject of the recipe you are looking for into the box in the upper right corner of the screen. Peanut Butter Pie
This is the dessert that Dad married Mom for ;-) Maybe I ought to use that strategy as well...
Ingredients:
1 c. peanut butter
1 pkg. of cream cheese
3/4 c. powdered sugar (use 1 c. if you are using fresh ground or unsweetened peanut butter)
8 oz. coolwhip
1 Gram cracker or cookie pie crust
Beat the first three ingredients together until creamy. Stir in coolwhip by hand until smooth. Pour into crust. Shred chocolate over the top if desired. Chill until firm. Serve!
